The team were approached to design an efficient home for an oddly shaped rear yard.

Project Brief

Our clients approached us to design them an efficient home for a site they already owned that was currently being used for as rental accommodation but had a small oddly shaped rear yard that was not being used well.

Design Outcome

The property is situated in Umina Beach on the Central Coast of NSW and is just a stone through away from the beach front.

Our clients wanted an efficient family home that would be comfortable year round and make the most of a very challenging shaped site.
The floor plan had to be tight and really improve that visual appearance of the area to encourage planning approval. Our clients wanted the home to have a bit of an English cottage feel with still pitched rooves and soft gardens.

The design was extremely challenging to get everything to fit within an acceptable outcome for council while remaining a liveable home for our clients now and into the future.

We are extremely proud of this project as a lot of energy went into ensuring it would become an amazing home for others to admire.
