Australian Coastal

The project team were approached to design a home for a young professional who enjoyed having friends and family over and needed a space to work from home.

Project Brief

Our client wanted a home that was affordable to build while having a Hamptons style design. It was important to have views over the bushland to the East and have a light and inviting interior.

Design Outcome

Standing on the vacant site looking over the bushland it was decided to orientate the main living to the north to allow direct access to the side yard and give the best access to the Northern sun with the dining area opening up to the bushland views to the east. The main bed suite and the office also both have views over the bushland creating wonderful daily routines to enjoy the natural view.

The team worked to pair back traditional Hamptons architecture to create an Australian coastal design for the project that would be more achievable to a modest budget.
